TL;DR: If you work in Hitech City, you have six realistic bases. Hitech City itself and Madhapur give you the shortest commute. Kondapur is the quieter, more residential pick with a short commute. Gachibowli suits you if you also go to the Financial District side. Kukatpally and KPHB are the budget and student option, about 10 minutes away by road. Manikonda has the lowest starting rent and is a short ride from Raidurg metro. The lowest shared-room starting rents across the six run from about ₹5,500 to ₹8,100. Commute and lifestyle decide more than rent does.
